Outlook Express 5 - Mail

	SMTP Auth and SSL
	PowerNet Internet email may also be configured for SMTP Authentication and SSL encryption for outgoing email. Please note that SMTP Auth and SSL are optional and are not required to use PowerNet Internet email. For further information and setup instructions, see the links below. NOTE: Please configure SMTP Auth or SSL after first configuring your email program for your PowerNet Internet email. SMTP Authentication SSL Encryption (outgoing) SSL Encryption (incoming)

Open Outlook Express. Click the Tools menu and click Accounts.

In the Accounts window, click the New button and choose Mail.

Enter your name in the Display name field. Click the arrow to advance to the next screen.

Choose I already have an e-mail address that I`d like to use. Enter your email address in the E-mail address field. Click the arrow to advance to the next screen.

Enter your mail servers into the Incoming mail server and Outgoing mail server fields. Click here for the list of PowerNet Internet Mail servers. Click the arrow to advance to the next screen.

Enter your email username or PowerNet Internet email address in the format of username@PowerNet Internet.net and email password in the Account ID and Password fields in lowercase letters. Click the arrow to advance to the next screen.

Enter PowerNet Internet in the Account name field. Make sure the Include this account in my "Send & Receive All" schedule is checked.

Click Finish to complete the wizard and return to Outlook Express.
